The Jara & Jiru Foundation is a non-profit organization committed to improving the lives of youth living in underprivileged communities in the Oromia region of Ethiopia. Our mission is to bridge the gap in education and healthcare and create sustainable communities by providing access to quality education, particularly for girls and children with disabilities.
We believe that education is the key to empowering individuals and breaking the cycle of poverty. That’s why we work to provide access to education and resources such as textbooks, school supplies, and teacher training. Our goal is to give children the tools they need to succeed and achieve their full potential.
We understand that the need for medical equipment is critical, especially in developing countries where access to basic healthcare is limited. We are working to equip hospitals and clinics with the medical equipment they need to provide essential care to their patients in this region.
But we don’t stop there. We also strive to build a sense of community within the communities we serve. We believe that education is not just about empowering individuals, but also about fostering a sense of community, pride, and belonging. By working closely with local leaders and community members, we create programs and initiatives that promote community engagement and participation.
To achieve our goals, we rely on the support of individual donors, businesses, and other nonprofits. Every partner plays an important role in accelerating progress, and we are grateful for the contributions of all who support our mission.
